Cubic boron nitride is a synthetic crystalline material second only to diamond in Knoop hardness. Although softer than diamond, CBN is superior in terms of abrasion resistance and oxidation resistance with steel alloys. Its relative crystalline inertness makes CBN the abrasive of choice for grinding steels, cast iron and nickel-based alloys.

Crownkyn offers six kinds of cubic boron nitride to satisfy costumers’ needs:

CBN-A10: Black single crystal, irregular crystal, low strength but strong self-sharpening, prominent sharp angle, providing higher performance and grinding efficiency, suitable for resin bond tools.

CBN-A20: Black single crystal, medium strength, semi-block, prominent sharp angles ensure high grinding efficiency, long service life and good surface processing effects. It is widely used in resin bond and ceramic bond tools.

CBN-A30: Bright black, opaque and other multi-shaped single crystals, the crystals are more completed and regular, with higher strength and thermal stability. It exhibits excellent performance in the field of high temperature and highly speed grinding. Suitable for ceramic bond, metal bond and electroplating bond tools.

CBN-B10 amber color, transparent crystal, medium strength, irregular shape, good self-sharpening, suitable for resin bond tools.

CBN-B30 golden yellow cubic boron nitride single crystal, isometric transparent crystal, high toughness, high strength, high thermal stability, good wear resistance. Suitable for electroplating tools, metals, ceramic bond systems.

CBN-B90 is dark brown, complete crystal shape, high strength, high thermal stability, and is widely used in metal bond systems and electroplating tools.
