CBN Micron Powder

CBN Micron Powder is divided into light amber and black, with high thermal stability, suitable for resin bond abrasives.

Item Name: CBN Micron Powder

Size: 0-0.5~40-80

Colour: Amber or Black

Applications: Suitable for processing materials with high hardness and toughness

Introduction

Crownkyn Superhard Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) Micron Powder is synthesized from hexagonal boron nitride and catalyst under high temperature and pressure. It is formed into a highly density cubic lattice (C-BN) monocrystal by a polymerization catalyst, similar to a rhombus crystal structure. CBN has higher chemical and thermal stability than diamond due to boron and nitrogen atoms. CBN abrasives have good shape retention, less dressing and replacement times, which shortens the total processing time, and is conducive to automatic processing on the line, ensuring the accuracy of the workpiece being processed.

CBN-MPA: Light amber, regular block, medium toughness, suitable for polishing and grinding of resin bonded tools, and can also be used to produce honing stones and PCBN.

CBN-MPB: Black, regular block, high toughness and thermal stability, can be used for resin bonded and ceramic bonded tools, grinding and polishing of ferrous metals, and also suitable for the production of honing stones and PCBN.

Features

  • High toughness.
  • Thermal stability is much higher than diamond.
  • It has great chemical stability to iron-based metal elements.

Applications

Used to manufacture abrasive tools, suitable for processing materials with high hardness and toughness, such as high-speed steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, nickel and cobalt-based alloys, cold-hardened cast iron, etc.

  • Metal bond grinding wheels
  • Resin bond grinding wheels
  • Vitrified bond wheels
